New Knob and a strange find...
I received a new knob today from Sti vi from a GB on here
It's a FD2 JDM CTR knob in spun aluminium with red lettering.
The specs are as follows (same as CR knob with yellow lettering):
Stock AP2 knob
8.4 oz in weight
60 mm from bottom of nut to top of knob
29 mm depth of screw hole
FD2 shift knob (same with yellow lettering) part number 54102 - SMT - E01
4.9 oz in weight
47 mm from bottom of nut to top of knob
31 mm depth of screw hole
Weight wise it does feel a bit lighter although not as much as suggested by the info above. I test fitted it without the retaining nut to countersink the knob as far as possible and, to my surprise, it lined up perfectly.
Shift wise it feels a lot better than stock and sits ~1.5cm+ lower so is marginally shorter. It is the perfect size for my hand and looks much better than stock IMO.
Overall, i'm very impressed with the product and service. Cheers Adrian.
I was also rewiring the accessory socket to be live when keyless and found this in the roof well where the driver side arm folds down.

The photos look completely different to how it looks in the car because i'm using a crappy phone camera. It's not gold at all more of a dark silver/ti colour. If you look at the CR knob on HTG's site it looks gold on there too...
