I had the same issue, no garage so went down the carport route. I also had some canvas panels made up that I could roll up and down as needed. Has really helped prolong the life if the roof and keeps the sun off the paintwork. Came as a kit and really easy to put up once you have a solid level base. During the winter I also put some dehumidifiers or a big bag of rice inside the car to keep the moisture at bay.

Thanks Martin, I had looked into these but the wife doesn’t like the aesthetics
I have found a couple of wooden car ports so I think I will do that, I have until the summer to build it.

The drop down canvas sides is a great idea, I may have to do that!

Raining here now so hoping the snow and ice will be gone in the morning and I may get the S out for a run.

have you got an underseal? Mine has had a waxoil coat. Do you know how often I should have this done?
unfortunately I don’t pick mine up until Friday, it’s having a service and MOT by the seller.
I can’t wait to get out in it, I am a bit worried about rust and had thought about only taking her out in the dry weather and keep off the roads during winter when the salt trucks are out. How prone to rust are they? Am I over protecting the car?
enjoy your drive!

When you get your car home it might be an idea to take your rear bumper and wheels off. There are no rear wheel arch guards so all the crap gets thrown up by the rear wheels. If it’s just been dry driven it shouldn’t be too bad. Some owners choose not to drive their S in the winter/wet to minimise the crap in there.
