IIRC, removing the knee pads allows one to feed the looms back over the SRS box underneath the HU. I don't recall lack of wiring space being that much of an issue.

AND Honda dash brackets aren't as Sweeney Todd as Toyobaru ones, despite what people tell you.

I emailed CarAudioDirect for the correct adaptors and they wanted me to confirm if the current built in player is a Bose or non-Bose.

There is no markings on the current player - just the code 3YA3.

I managed to find an ebay listing for the same looking player - pic attached - and according to that this model is a PIONEER DEH-M7317ZH

I assume that is correct?
