Do you ever think they'll drop the costs as result of a future system overhaul?

Convertible implies it was once a metal roofed coupe......!!!
A roadster is a 2 seater without a roof, convertible can be anything.

My convertible roadster now has a fixed roof and no ragtop frame. Is it now a coupe?

Now now, it depends which website you read from.

A roadster can be a convertible but convertibles are not necessarily roadsters...

I'm sticking with roadster.....but when someone admires my 'convertible' who am I to argue....

Honda on first release called it a roadster...so there...

No, it's a roadster with a hardtop... not really fixed is it?

I think the extra term everyone is looking for is cabriolet, a non sports type car with a folding fabric roof, generally a four seater.

How would my old CRX be described, with the full metal dismountable roof sometimes referred to as a terga top or as a convertible?

I think we're saying the same thing.

S2000 can be classified as a roadster or convertible, I prefer the term roadster personally as it's more specific, indicating it only has two seats.

An Audi A4 "softop" can only be classified as a convertible.
