Nob too cold to handle!!!!
All you MY '01 and '02 owners must be very pleased at this time of the year to have your part-natural-hide covered nobs, as mine is absolutely bloody freezing! It doesn't encourage regular manipulation, like it needs and is used to.
Apologies for this thread, but there hadn't been any nob gags for a while, so I thought we were well overdue.

I've been feeling the chill from my partially covered knob recently. Which makes me wonder why I've just ordered one of Rick's shiny knobs.
Do like I have and treat yourself to one of Rick's Knob Socks. Keep that knob warm while you not using it.

oy, this is what i get for reading the UK forum
I've got a half-metal/half-leather knob in the MINI, still very cold in the morning. I have to adjust by nob grip to keep my hands from getting too cold
perhaps it is just a problem with your technique?

Rubber is usually a good insulator - would something of this material, tight-fitting over your nob, be what you are looking for Alex?
I'll have a root around and see if I can find something suitable. Any particular flavour you would like?

I'm going to regret saying this I know, but the person I give a lift to work with noticed that I kept saying that the gear knob is very cold at present.
The other day I was driving along and they grabbed my knob to see how cold it was!
F**k me, but my work colleague isn't a "leggy blonde" but a balding bloke!
Anyway he is driving himself to work at present so my knob is safe but still very cold in the morning.
But I'm never going to complain that it is cold again!!!
