Default noisy fuel pump and a flat spot.

I seem to recall reading a topic a while back about some people's fuel pumps making a humming sound. i get this a lot at the moment. Is it just down to the colder weather? Also, intermittently I get a sort of flat spot for a few moments which then clears. I though that it might be the MAP sensor. it only seems to happen in wet or damp weather and it clears if you keep your foot down. does this sound like a map sensor or could it be down to the fuel pump.

My fuel pump does it too in this weather, but mines a bit louder anyway being uprated.

I am guessing, but I suspect the viscosity of fuel in the tank is a bit more / less when very cold and there is a change in load on the pump. Will find out the properties if fuel for my own interest! Shouldn't worry about it, but see how it behaves.

Flat spots can be a number of things, bad fuel, MAP / lambda playing up throttle pos sensor etc....

Unplug it, plug back in, reset ECU.
