This is a mindset thing:

S2K - Roadster - driven by hardcore enthusiasts.

Others - Cabriolets - driven by sad poseurs.

NickG

I couldn't agree more

In fact I find the car quite claustrophobic with the roof up

just spoke with this guy here who bought an MGF

I said to him "How are you enjoying the car, you've been lucky buying it and having such nice weather to get the top down"

reply:-

"Oh I've only had the roof down once since I got it because its been too cold"

FFS the weather in Surrey has been fine....

what is it with these people???

Went for a long run this morning because I couldn't face the thought of having to go into work.

In an hour and a half I spotted 1 TT, 1 BMW Z3, 3 MGFs and 4 MX5s and only one of them had the roof down

I have to say Saab 900 drivers seem to make the effort to get the top down

I drove the 120 miles from Manchester to Solihull this morning in glorious top-down sunshine - 23 degrees was the temp mentioned on the radio. I lost count of how many convertibles I saw, but less then ten of them had got the roof down

to the couple of Elises, the MR2, the MG TF and the trio of MX5s who pulled in behind me in convoy and (it almost sticks in my throat) the TT. to the rest of you miserable sods!

Mr T

It was lovely and warm this morning, I did topless all the way in, motorway and all and the only one I spotted likewise was a 3 series BMW which I have to say surprised me!!

Have to say though that by far the most car I see topless is the Peugeot thingy, must be something to do with the automatic no nonsense roof OR they are just as mad as we are, not that we are mad
