NUTS!
There is a big difference between specifically designing a system with aluminium nuts in mind, and putting aftermarket ones on a system originally designed for steel. They also haven't used 'em for a while...

Steel would always have more margin for user errors though and I totally understand if thats enough for some to stay away from alu.
If money was no object I would go for these though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AF_Ucs4yInA

"
did not look authentic then !!"
NAH! it was the guy who ran up and chucked the bucket of confetti over the driver that clinched it, it could only be an American.

And that grade is subject to stress corrosion cracking, and it's worth noting that aluminium, unlike steel, will always fatigue, even under very low loads, so whilst they might be strong enough to start with, they're are going to fail at some point, which is why the MSA/FIA don't like them when they're replacements for steel nuts.
Based on what others have said then yes as long as you use a torque wrench each time so as not to over tighten and cause stress/strip the thread on the nut as well as checking them once in a while to make sure they've not worked loose.
I went for steel again in the end, same ones as I had before as they're cheap but effective and don't have the potential for issues that Aluminium has.
