I'm just about to click over 7000 miles since collecting my S2K on 25th January.
I've added 2 1/2 litres of oil, in that time, and it's going to need a top up soon.

Is this normal ?

I asked the question to my local dealer, and they don't think I should
be concerned.

This is my 4th Vtec engined car, and I don't recall any of the previous engines
burning anything like this.

Should I be concerned ?

 

No!..... the S2000 is known to burn oil..... especially in the first 10000 miles. I've used about the same as you in my first 8000 miles.

 

2 litres in 7540 miles...

 

4 litres since Xmas. 8500 miles
