Just to give you an idea on prices, today I've picked up an oil filter for £12.99 and the oil filter removal tool for £29.82 incl VAT.

That tool is very steep for what it is but it will make it a lot easier and safer because you can torque the filter up.

Dan,

I'm in Aberdeenshire and can easy talk you through it some time if you want.

Absolute piece of cake on the s2000 as the filter is so handy to get at.

Cheers,

Dave

don't know about £1, but Honda used to sell them, there may still be some around. Just remember a little smear of oil on the seal tighten till it touches then another 7/8 of a turn.

richmc - I was alluding to the commentary in the video that refers lightheartedly to being able to pick them up 'for about £1' at your honda dealer. Owen_1987 implies that is about £28.82 optimistic. There are some 80mm 15 flute tools available for about a quarter of that price, i just wanted to make sure that was the correct spec for the OEM filter. I have a strap type, but it tends to crush the casing.

Edit: it seems from the US site that it is indeed 80mm 15 flutes

I'm sure the Honda one was just a couple of quid it's just a pressed steel jobbie.
