Just a quick question, ive got a modified sump with a 8npt flange and a baffle plate that Matty did for me.My defi oil temp sender sits inside flange rather than poking out into the sump itself. My question is will it still give a honest reading like that?

Ideally you would want the sender probe to be sitting in oil and away from any other sources of heat but ultimately whatever you do you are going to pick up temperatures from surrounding components. Sump is defiantly the best place thou as its where the bulk of the oil is and is the temperature of the stuff thats going to be sucked up by the oil pick up and then pushed around the engine.
