Though maybe if Optimax takes off some over petrol companies will go down the wonder petrol route.

(Note to Andy. Sorry no mystical smilies. Also I'm not chasing. I bow to your superior powers of spamming Ooops, guess there was a smilie after all )

Boring I know but getting back to the topic, I've been running Optimax solid for 1.5K now, I reckon the accel is slightly improved over 97, but it definitely has a more pronounced back lash when you let right off. Anyone else finding this?

Sounds a bit heavy maybe but there's plenty of pros/weirdos out there that'll try and sue you for anything they can rather than make an honest living. B***ards!
Purely by accident I discovered a great way to REDUCE the back end fun, run the rears at 8 psi below recommended. I lost this much in a week, admitedly after a couple of 150 milers. Feels weird, keep an eye on your pressures, kickin' don't do it.

I can't comment as I have had Optimax in the tank from the first fill-up one mile from the dealer (apart from a tank of BP Super from the M5 after the last meet).
The car seems to run great and (touch wood) hasn't had any funny turns like bucking in traffic etc. so I won't be running anything else.

Over here, we're being sold Optimax as the latest and greatest new fuel. Assuming this is the same Shell Optimax, how long have you had it ?
