All our major brands now sell 98 octane which is the same spec as Optimax and have been for over 12 months. Since there's only 1 main refinery supplying each of Sydney and Melbourne the base fuel has to be the same in all of them.

I've never used anything else in my S2000 which seems to go just fine and I did get slightly smoother and more responsive power delivery in my WRX when I changed over from 95 RON.
