paint damage (confirming muppet status...)
Just got back From mountain biking in Wales and discovered that my fun with a 993 on the way back may have been quite costly - my MTB forks have rubbed against the boot lid despite my tying them back (school boy error) and I've rubbed of a good couple of inches of paint
Anyway, I'm taking the car up to Leeds tonight, where it will reside until Friday night when I go up to SM4. Is going to the local dealership the best idea or can anyone recommend a bodyshop near the centre of Leeds which is likely to be able to patch it up prior to Friday night?

There's a Honda Dealer just outside Leeds city center, it's Dixions Honda at Armley. Not sure if they have good body shop though.

Cheers Subaru , will give them a call early tomorrow morning and see what Dixons quote. My current S came from Dixons via Jam Jar/Tesco insurance - it tooks ages to get the hard top stand from Dixons - let's hope their bodywork centre is more swtiched on!

Dixons don't have a bodyshop in Leeds, they just send your car out to someone else.
How bads the damage? has it actually taken the paint off (i.e. will it need a touch up or total respray)?
I have used the guy who does minor repairs for Dixon. i.e. not involving a respray and he was very good. I went to him directly,

Right, Dixons say it will take just two days to respray but can't quote until they've seen the damage. Now going to have to find some time to get the car over there this afternoon. fingers crossed...
