Prelude 2.2 VTEC.....(the good looking one, not that boxy monstrosity which followed it)....one of the best cars I have ever owned.

I am beginning to be drawn to the Alfa GTV Coupe....I have a soft spot for anything Italian

With the criteria I think you are looking at a hot hatch of some sort.

You could pick up an old XJS which would be quite cool but would be expensive to upkeep.

If you went for a 306xsi or something, then you'd pick up parts dead cheap or from a breakers and service the car yourself.

obviously this is way over budget but does show just what can be had for a fraction of the cost of a new S2000
