Performance Driver Training
After yesterdays disasterous performance in the S2000 I feel its definately time to seek some driver training. I know in the past people have expressed an interest in Don Palmers wetter the better course however I think this course is now discontinued.
I've been having a search around this morning and I have found this course which seems very suitable for what I want and maybe what some others were looking for:-

FWIW
Not the S2000 - and it does depend where you are coming from - but I found this immensely rewarding and fun.
With the benefit of being able to experiment in someone else's car!

I looked at the Don Palmer course but couldnt find out if the course was 1 to 1 or group session and if you only got the 2 hours 1 to 1.
Probably make some further enquiries tomorrow.

Been doing some further enquiring, it appears the Don Palmer course is only 2 hours 1 to 1. I go this back from the course I linked above:-
> Where does the course take place?
The most popular format is a half-day on road, and a half-day at Millbrook
Proving Ground, Bedfordshire.
> Also is the day full 1 to 1 tuition or is it group based
> with a percentage of 1 to 1 tuition, if its the latter then how
> much 1 to 1 tuition do you get?
1 to 1 - you'll not have to share you Trainer with any other clients.
> Is the course run on set days?
Call us for availability.
> I assume that the course is carried out in my own vehicle
> which is how I would want it to be, if this assumption is
> incorrent then can you please let me know.
Yes, that's correct.
We look forward to hearing from you,

I'm up for it. I believe Don has Caterhams you can hire for your training session. 2 hours one on one is going to be tough driving!
An alternative is one2one - see Bookatrack.com for details (I think....) I think the main URL is www.one2oneinstruction.com
These are the guys which do the BaT instruction and the two sessions I've had with them were fantastic and well worth the money.

Andy,
couldnt get the one2one site to work but ive just go off the phone from Don Palmer. Don runs these courses usually a couple of time per week and only for a maximum of 3 people at any one time.
The course is run at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome (M1 J20, so close for you Andy W), he says in total he will usually spend approx 2 hours coaching each student throughtout the day but not in one straight session. He was telling me about his background, he worked for Jackie Stewart in the states and has spent most of his life teaching people how to drive sideways
There is no hard and fast rules for the course, basically he asks you what you want to gain from the course and will then help you achieve this.
