Ive also made enquiries with this place www.racecoaching.com . The guy sounds very experienced, just got an email back asking for my phone number so I expect theyll call within the next few days.

Erm... This guy just got back to me, I think hes a little out of our league, like he teaches F1 drivers and the cost.....

Nice enough chap though and fully understood when I explained that was a tad expensive.
Was it a name we'd recognise... ????

Impressive credentials... I'd think his level of training is a long way down the road for me though, I need more basic performance driving tuition first so I don't look too hamfisted!

Another thought I've just had was that I could ask Matt if he'd be interested in doing some coaching. Matt's a very quick driver and does some of the coaching/demonstration drives with a couple of track day companies. I'm not sure how much he'd charge for a one-on-one or a shared day. We'd have to pay for the track day too.

Personally, one of the first questions we ought to ask when approaching these companies is if they have intercoms when driving. I know Don Palmer does. The tuition that I had at Bentwaters & Elvington (20mins) was great as I really learnt a lot. However, I think for an extended period there's only so much you can make out from hand signals
