Rich take it to a decent garage / tuning place which can monitor the voltage of the sensor from the OBD port (diagnostics)

If you are in Portsmouth, TGM in fleet isn't a million miles away. But any competent garage could sort it.

Sorry, that's right. I have no idea why I said lean when I meant rich as its the over fuelling that knackered mine in the first place.

Although the 02 sensor runs in open loop with your foot down is there anything else then that could cause the S to run rough? I'm not 100% clued up as it was years ago on a Corrado that I had this sort of issue so there was no secondary 02 sensor and the car had a distributor. The timing was wrong on the distributor, hence the over fuelling that killed the 02 sensor.

OP: have you noticed any considerable drop in fuel economy? That's also a sign of a dead primary 02 sensor.

Yep lots of other things like MAP sensor, vac leaks, blocked injectors gummed up idle valve etc. Its a bit of a minefield and really hard to diagnose over the web you do need to see all the sensor signals really.

Main culprits are normally lambda / map / injectors, but there are ways to tell of each.

The CEL could be a completely unrelated problem I suppose but as advised I would do things one at a time. Best to start by fixing whatever has the CEL on and hopefully that will solve it

Is the manifold OK - I'm wondering if there could be air getting in at the joint with the cat or possibly a crack in it somewhere ? On Wheeler Dealers the other day Ed China put a bit of tissue on the end of a stick to test for manifold blowing - nice idea I thought.

Hi lads. Just an update. The kangerooing issues have been on and off sometimes the turning off then back on of the ignition sometimes stops it doing it and other times not...anyways I reset the ecu today as the sticky states to do. It seems OK at the mo but it hasn't cleared the cell light....? Isn't it suppose to?
