Default Possible Car

Hi there,

As some will know, i'm on the lookout for a second-hand Honda. Any thoughts about this one? It seems a bit cheap to me...

It's a cat D, therefore been in a reasonably serious accident. Unless you have details of all the repairs and what was damaged, I'd walk away.

I'd insist on viewing anything on ebay before buying.

And I'd never buy a Cat D - although some people would and have had no problem. You'd need to know who repaired it all and get full details

Cat D - says it all.

I'd walk away.

I guess we know what the "light cat D" involved then

Also has wrong front bumper! Only hope is that no real damage underneath. If that is the case then price seems ok but still need to spend money to correct to get it back to a true MY04.

In reality I'd suspect considerable hidden damage.

The fact that earlier model parts have been used indicates a sloppy repair job.

Avoid!

if you want a cat d

best buy one 'as is' before any repairs have been done to it

and do them yourself

otherwise you will be swimming with sharks

Hi there,

Absolute legends! Thanks for the info, it's put me right off. You don't know how close i was to putting a bid in! Should've known better than to expect something for nothing, eh? Dunno where else in the world you can post a question with a time limit of six hours to get a concise reply and get one in less than two! Guess i'll keep looking then...

Cheers, Matt

Note also the driver's seat belt is not fully retracting, I would seriously question the definition of light in 'ligh accident'!! It's currently a buyers market so personally I would not run but sprint away from this particular one - a very bad example of a CAT D repair, dispite the price.
