Default power loss

Car was professionally tuned a while back (couple of weeks ago) and when out driving hard the car went all of a sudden from zippy to chug chug chug chug etc - it pops and bangs when on throttle but is fine on partial or cruise. I dont have a wideband so is there anything that I can check before going back to the dyno?
I didn

Sounds like it's running way to rich on WOT or it's missing?

Are your plugs tight and in good condition?

I may be miles out there but it's something to at least check

I would bet that you have lost a cylinder, Kit Kat (plug nackered / injector wire snapped / injector blocked)

I had exactly the same on my Exige when I had an injector wire loose (my fault!) Car shakes due to the combustion imbalance and becomes very slow and noisy!

Check your wiring and plugs before replacing any bits.

I once started up my engine with only 3 HT leads connected up and it made a horrendous noise

When my car was running very rich it was more of a stuttering/stalling effect.

Yes it will - badly.

If you have a cylinder not sparking or injector stuck open then it will just be pumping unburned fuel out the exhaust.

I am no expert on S2000's as I have only just picked mine up but the symptoms do sound like one of the HT leads is starting to break down.

Before a total failure happens the lead can start to fail only at certain frequencies and you end up running on 3 cylinders, ease off the pedal and it runs fine again and ticks over with no issues.

Certainly worth checking it is something relatively easy/cheap to fix like this before exploring other causes.
