Just bend some aluminium sheet for the heat shield and pop rivet on some brackets, I did this for my AEM. Took about 2hours with all the right tools.

For the kangarooing, I noticed cleaning the MAP sensor a little and cleaning out the Throttle body worked a little for me. I used Wynn's fuel injections system and carb cleaner, took about 10mins to do. You should notice it instantly.

Hope this helps

if you're going over really bumpy tarmac at low speeds (ie in town) the jiggling of the car can mean your foot jabs the throttle too quickly. Net result = Skippy the Bush S2.
My clutch foot is a lot quicker off the mark since having the S for that very reason

I have this problem but as i work in the centre of brum, it happens every day and it is frustrating. (I would like to drive another one to compare but it feels unacceptably bad.) I took it to the Stealers too (their head technician took it out and agreed with me) and so far they have changed the MAP sensor, oxygen sensors and the fecking wiring loom!!! All under warranty but no difference.

The next thing for them is to change the ECU and the injectors! The injectors might help i think. We shall see. If no change after that, then i might try this mugen thermostat thingy-bob. is that something i can do myself? Where can i buy them from?

Thanks - its nice (sort of) to know i'm not the only one!

Steve

Surely in the wet, this could be dangerous - being a powerful rear wheel drive car, you dont want to be kangarooing on a wet roundabout which is where it often happens. I feel Honda should have come up with a fix for it and done a recall.

Anyone agree?

I'm with you on that Graham! It's the only way to stop it in town; foot on the clutch, calm the car down, then try again. As has also been said, if it's hot air intake causing the jerkiness, give it a quick rev! Sounds good too...

An induction kit will eliminate this problem, just make sure you put a shield over it due to the rain.
