Hi,

Could anyone confirm whether I need to specificy that my UK spec S2000 was purchased from Holland, and is imported to the UK, on my insurance ?

Thanks in advance....
I'm not sure you got the answer to the question you asked, Lupen.

I imporrted my first S from Holland. It made no difference to the cost of the insurance. In fact my insurerers (elephant) were not interested where I had bought it from as long as it was UK spec.

Other companies may be different though.

Lupen

I too imported my S. I told my insurance people and they could not care less. I told them I had fitted a Thatcham alarm and locking wheel nuts - the ONLY difference from the UK spec apart from the warranty - and they said 'So?'

Tell then - it will make no difference and it is then on file so it cannot be an issue later.

Remember the car is IDENTICAL to the UK car, alarm and wheel nuts aside.

Assuming you have a right hand drive.

As a matter of interest, why did you buy from the continent? I assumed the current Euro/

If you can get it in writing frome either your husbands insurer or his company many insurers will give you the 2 years no claims on a new policy ..... you just need to phone around a few and ask.

A number of years back I left a company insurance scheme and found an insurer that would give me protected full no-claims
