Default Quick oil question

I've just checked my oil and it's a little low. I either have 10 - 30 or 10 - 40 in there (I can't check the paperwork as i'm not at home).

I have in my possession Mobile 1... - is it okay to top up using this (ie, mixing the oils) - I have about 2 months until my next service ?

Cheers

Mixing different weights of oil is OK, but not ideal. Don't mix fully synthetic with semi synthetic though...that would not be good.

Thanks.

I'd better check exactly what oil I have in there then before I start pouring...

What makes you say that?

Whilst it's not ideal, it won't cause any problems

No warranty no... - why do you suggest that, as opposed to topping it up until my next service (2 months) ?

2 months is a short timeframe.

If you aren't under warranty, get your oil/filter changed now - it will only do your car good
