Default Radio problem

Hi

Having driven the S2k this weekend at Goodwood i noticed when on local radio stations that sometimes i would get 3 short high pitched beeps from the radio that repeated 2 or 3 times.
Only seems to do it on local stations and not on national stations. I think it could be to do with poor reception and either TA or TP.

Could someone please clarify.

Thanks

Probably the lack of TA on the station you're listening to.... Try it with TA switched off and I bet it doesn't happen..

Three short beeps = 3 o'clock.
Two short beeps and a half beep = Half Past Two.
Nine short beeps, a short beep and then a long beep followed by a 'ping' = twenty five to ten.

You'll get the hang of it.

no, its when the your chosen station is lost or minimal reception.

I still suspect it's to do with TA - when you're listening to a radio station with TA switched on, it'll listen out for other nearby stations broadcasting traffic - it's part of RDS EON (IIRC).

When you're in a weak area and listening to the radio, and it can't find any stations broadcasting TA (not necessarily the one that you're listening to) it'll beep to say it's having problems.

you might be right I've always got TA on.

BTW - does anybody know how to skip a TA on the std radio. On my previous car I could just press the channel pre-set briefly and it went back to the channel and "listened" for the next TA

When the beep becomes continuous, you are oversteering very close to the hedge.
