Default Radio on without keys?

Can it be done. ...

Can I leave Steve Wright wittering on whilst I run into the bakery with my keys? Can I park somewhere and have the radio playing with the door open without the door alarm going off?

Is this too much to ask?

Am I being a muppet?

Try taping the door switch down

From memory of other stereos, the head unit will be fed 12V by 2 wires. 1 will be a permanent live to keep the radio memory presets/clock etc. The other will be live when you turn the key I.e the radio will be on with the ignition on. You need to identify this wire and make it a permanent live also. Then the radio will play Classic FM for you until you switch the unit off yourself or the battery dies. HTH.

Hi from the other side of the pond.

I found that if you remove the ECU backup fuse it cuts power to the door chime.

Not sure if this is the solution you are looking for but it's what I do when detailing the car so I can listen to the radio without the annoying chime.

Cheers
