worked out I had done 4300 miles out of them is this good?
I get 4k to 4.5k miles out of a set of rears, so I would say that 4.3k was about normal

If it's not your driving, it may be the tyre compound of the Yokos that wears faster.

I get around 8 to 10k out of the SO2s on the back I think.

(Tell your missus that they are special economy tyres which add 25% to your MPG, so this outweighs the high wear rate... or would she not fall for that? Bet my mum would )

Blimey, I'm on 12.5k miles on the originals - reckon i've got another couple of k depending on my uneven wear (one side wearing quicker)

I take it you mean one side of an individual tyre wearing quicker than the other, rather than the tyres on each side of the car wearing at different rates (unless you've been donutting a lot ).

Nope, the tyre on the other side of the car........ rear left wearing quicker than rear right........... (fronts are wearing evenly)

And Tim, that includes an Academy Day, MM1 and lots of spirited drives, I just don't believe in sliding a lot!

I got just over 5k out my last set. The Woolly Bollard tour completely trashed them though ... they were like slicks when I changed them 2 weeks ago

Munched a set of rears in 1,100 miles in the Chimaera when I first got it. Was a bit more careful after that ...

I've had anything from 2,000 to 9,000 out of the rears. I'm convinced that most of the damage is done as you move off. That little bit of scrabbling as the tyres look for traction adds up you know.
