I have a set of DLS Components in my doors, 426 Coaxials I think.
They are especially easy to drive and sounded OK with the original head unit but took on a new level of quality with the Alpine system I now employ. Currently I run without external amps and the car sounds OK with the hardtop on and limp without it and the roof folded.
Have given up worrying about spending a fortune on the audio for a car I prefer to drive with the radio off.
I did build my own speaker pods and add sound deadening mats inside the doors and that made a fair difference.
Compared to the Diamond Audio, Phoenix Gold, Alpine F1 stuff in my Accord the S2000 isn't even off the starting blocks audio wise.
Heard the rear speakers of a couple of owners recently and will add those in summer.

Seek out DLS though, I was previously an Infiniti fan and these are so much better.

Cheers

Thats easier said than done, I wanted the same ones but they have very few suppliers in the UK, I went to their website and go the recomended supplier only to find out that they no longer stocked the DLS speakers. In the end I gave up as the only place I found that stocked them would not deliver (they were in London and I'm in Warrington) and they were V expensive.

I have a set of Kenwood HQ Dual-Mag 165mm components for sale if anyone if interested - very slim line magnets shoudl allow a drop in fit, perhaps with the tweeters in the A pillars...

Anthony

Sorry about the delay pitching in my 2-penneth, but I can highly reccommend the Diamond Audio 635i 6.5" co-ax speakers. I had these installed by '001 Mobile sounds' - naff name, great shop. They stock allsorts of rarely found (in the UK!) US stuff - notably, Rockford Fosgate, Polk and, of course, Diamond Audio. tel. 01293 822373 (Salfords Surrey - Near Redhill) - not a million miles from you!. (They do not fit in the basket, but 001 sounds put a waterproof cover on the speakers to protect them from the water which does get into this section of the door)

The speakers were well recieved by all who heard them at the Abinger meet

Yeah - too right they were! The Polk/Diamond audio combo was awesome - I'm completely changing my install this weekend, I really hope it ends up sounding as good as what I heard from yours at the meet

I've just had some Focals installed.

They are a French company who speaker drive units for the UK speaker company B&W (who are big in home hi-fi).

They were fairly pricey at

Forgot to say that they were also installed by "001 Mobile" in Redhill - they did a great job - ask for "Tim"
