My Clifford alarm has a great feature.

You press the alarm arm button on the Clifford fob.

You wander around for a bit, perhaps visiting some shops and buying a few bits.

You return to the car and as you approach you get your Clifford alarm fob out. You press the boot release button on the Clifford alarm fob - the alarm fob that comes with the alarm and which is security coded to your Clfford alarm. The button next to the one on the fob that unarms the alarm.

Every time the boot opens. Great.

Every time the alarm goes off. Not so great.

Why is it the alarm unit cannot see this is a request from the legit fob for this car, and open the boot without setting off the alarm.

Hhhhmmm... I think I'll forget the key fob/boot release relationship and put this down to a security feature...

You had any joy MaKSiNG?

No, with some of the earlier cars (eg mine, also a MY00), this will only work once a bit of circuitry(prob just a relay) has been added. IIRC, it cost

This is becoming an obsession - I never knew I wanted to open the boot remotely and now I am thinking about spending money to do so...

It's worth it - really cool and impressive UNLESS of course anyone is looking. Spectators seem to jinx it.

Hmm how come the remote boot release doesn't work on my EU S2000 + Clifford alarm? I press the boot button and nothing happens.

Is there anything I need to do configuration wise on the remote or should I just assume that it was never wired up properly to do this?

I just need to keep the boot release pressed down and it opens.
