Default Remote boot release problems

Welcome to the remote boot opening lottery. It's cool when it works but you can end up looking a bit silly when it doesn't.

Pot luck.

Mine never works when the roof is down!

Works circa 60% of the time when it is up!

Pot luck, doubt a battery change would make the slightest of differece, it works when it wants to. If u want to have it work every time, get the crap honda alrarm taken off and a decent aftermaret one put on what can do the boot ect

PS: remote start is great in a morning esp when we get freezing fog in the vale of york!

The early s2000's were fitted with a after market cat 1 alarm by hamilton palmer when the cars came into the country. There is a boot release relay fitted which pop's the boot with the double unlock, the alarms are'nt great at the best of time's and some cars don't have the boot release relay. The ultrasonic cut of switch break off and stick hence why honda changed to a factory fitted alarm for the s2000 and ctr.

You can thank Honda UK for the POS alarm. It was their decision to add it after the car was imported from Japan.

Yes, unfortunately you have an obsolete model S2000.

Please update it immediately by contacting you nearest Honda reseller.
