The early s2000's were fitted with a after market cat 1 alarm by hamilton palmer when the cars came into the country. There is a boot release relay fitted which pop's the boot with the double unlock, the alarms are'nt great at the best of time's and some cars don't have the boot release relay. The ultrasonic cut of switch break off and stick hence why honda changed to a factory fitted alarm for the s2000 and ctr.
Hi, Can you tell me where the boot release relay needs to be fitted, as mine is one of those that didn't have it fitted and my delear wouldn't fit it without a charge. I currently carry both key fobs around just to be able to open the boot remotely.

This is easyn if the car wasnt alarmed before your double press it wont work, and if you press again before the first flash of the indicators it wont work.

So to get it to work every time, from alarmed state - press unlock once, indicators will flash, as soon as the indicator extiguishes, press unlock again and ey presto it works every time

Mine was a Euro import model that didn't have the alarm fitted, and it worked every time. It had a seperate button on the remote for the boot release.

Not quite. What I need to know is which wire from the alarm will energise the remote boot relay when the disarm button is "double pressed".
Wiring in a relay to operate the existing boot release circuit is fairly simple (ie wire across boot release button contacts).

Did anyone find anymore information on this?

Has anyone got a pic of the boot release relay? Or know where it is housed?
