Default Resale Value

Hi All,

As i know many of you have removed head light washers and front number plate surround, Will resale value be affected?

Numberplate, I think not. As for the washers, I decided to keep them and get them colour coded as I didn't want to put off certain buyers who may be concerned about the car having an import appearance. However, you could refit the washers if you tied them behind the bumper (as PJL has done).

depends on the age of the car

the newer the car, the more anything that deviates from standard is likely to affect value

Personally I think any obvious modification has some bearing on used values, it tends to make a suggestion on the type of person driving it and the way it's been driven - Independant of whether that assumption is true or not

There is always a market for modified cars and some people have no biase against them, but it certainly reduces the perceived value slightly IMO

I guess I must practice what I preach It doesn't mean I'm never slightly tempted though...... Especially when my insurer told me most mods would not affect my premium, must resist a noisy air filter
