Not too long now before the three engine rebuild either bursts into life or self destructs on start up,
I'm having a devil of a time trying to remember where all the wiring goes i think it's an age thing or the fact it was 18 months ago a stripped it,

I can never understand how people remove an engine and put it back, I’d definitely have no idea where all the bolts went / connnectors go. Always have to take pics and label things, and even then end up spending hours on google images trying to work out what goes where

Agreed, Mark! Even when I fitted the supercharger (and did clutch & headgasket), I labelled everything! I know I'd finish with leftover bolts otherwise!

She Lives, slipped the engine back in today primed the engine with the plugs out, refitted them then crossed everything and pressed the button, sweat FA bloody stupid immobilisers press the plip and hit the button again, pleased to say all good (up to now) fired up first crack with no leaks nice and quiet so will run her for 20 or so minutes and change the oil after it's flushed the system then new oil and run her in for 500 before a final change and reset the tappets and a full spanner check,

Would like to say thanks to Nottm S2 for allowing me to use a few parts of his old engine that weren't damaged when it had detonated to destruction, namely the crank and oil pump, cheers dude couldn't have done the rebuild without them or spending big money having a crank reground and undercut,

i'll do a price up of the cost when i have a bit more time

Well done Ray, marvellous news! There's a tear in my eye.

If it was the starter I left in there, it always did that after a track day and then quietened down again after a while.
