Default S being a PITA

So I decided to change my speakers today, seemed like an easy job and thought I could brave the cold for an hour or so.

S all is going well everythings done in 45 mins.

Close the passenger side door and both speakers cut out. Cant figure out what it is thats causing it but after an hour of rejiggling both are working fine now.

Putting the doorcards back on and the passenger side hangles wont screw back in.

I couldnt take the cold anymore plus its gotten dark so I gave up to finish it off tomorrow.

Why is something so simple causing me so many issues ?

The holes line up, screw is perfectly aligned but it wont screw in - by hand or drill.

Speakers sound awesome though as a plus point.

Sounds like you nipped a wire somewhere initially.

Cold and trim do NOT mix

HA!

Success !!!!

Managed to get the screws in right.

Realised window on passenger side isnt working.

Undo everything again.

Cant figure out what it is.

Put top down to see if its the motor, which it wasnt.

Horror strikes as to how the fudge will I get the window back up.

Sit there thinking and see brother has hit the window lock button.

All together now though.

Speakers are so much better than the standards, albeit I thought the standards werent so bad.

As it's Xmas day, and ONLY because it's Xmas day, the secret of the passenger window will be revealed without three pages of p**s taking first.

Just above the window switches on the drivers door panel is a left/right rocker switch which isolates the pax window. Check this is in the right position before any more major surgery.

These should give you a flavoor of what I've saved you from:

I can't find the one I'm really looking for, step forward Stookystar, but you get my drift. I hope this is the cure for you mate
