Default S keeps trying to stall

When i come to a hault in the S, from time to time the revs die down to only a few hundred and then it pics back up again, as yet the car hasn't stalled.

The car is performing well and does not sound fcuked so im not to worried, but none the less curious. I have had a similar problem on previous cars which turned out to be a minor electrical fault so I'm thinking along the same lines here. Has any else got any ideas what this could be?

I'm sure its only coincidence but this has started since I fitted my Invidia exhaust system.

Thanks for your input, I guess its probably nothing to worry about. I use a variety of petrol stations and it doesnt seem to make a difference. With these sort of intermittent faults its always difficult to get a dealer diagnosis.

just an idea, but could it be that the ECU hasn't adjusted properly to your new exhaust?... have you tried resetting it?...

Will have to check that but I imagine not as it was serviced three weeks ago and Fleet Honda changed the oil then.

Mine kept stalling after fittiing my Invidia exhaust. After doing the ECU reset by removing the back up fuse it was fine.

Is this only after a warm start, or just normal running?

I think this is quite a common issue. Mine does it sometimes, but hasnt ever stalled. There was a thread about it on the US forum, and as i remember it happens to other hondas as well. I think even the recent report in Evo mentioned something like this, but theirs improved after a service.

Mine seems worst when starting a hot car in hot weather, but not aboslutely sure about that.

I try to ignore it!

Cheers
Jeremy
