Mine does this too. Gets very close to stalling and then doesn't, IIRC on one occasion it did.

Can't seem to find the reason and just put it down to one of the cars 'traits'. It happens mainly when the car is warm/hot, but has happened when my oil level is low. Its in for its 36k service on Wednesday so I will see if it happens after that and report back.

Mine does this, only since its first service. Has had the ECU reset which helped a little.

Mostly seems t ohappen when coolant is warm but oil hasn't warmed up completely. It was shuddering big style, but since the ECU reset it's a bit of a shiver in comparison !

Kelk's does this too

mine shudders sometimes when bringing into the driveway, but i just assumed i wasn't giving it enough revs...

it almosts stalls sometimes if i blip the revs at idle - the revs drop down to the hundreds... so i don't do that...

Have checked the oil now and its not overful, infact its quite low so moffs comment could be true.

Have reset the ECU with no joy.

Next steps: top up the oil and fiddle with the map sensor. Will post the results later.

Had a simular thing happen to mine - it turned out that it need a new variable timing valve. That completely cured the problem.

If that's the case, surely Fleet Honda should be getting an ass whoopin'?

As much pleasure as that would give me it was about a month ago when they did the service, IIRC. In which case it probably was full when it left them, like most S2k's mine tends to drink a bit of oil.

So any news on this one as mine was doing it quite badly this morning.

So far suggestions seem to be:

too much oil
too little oil
map sensor
variable timing valve
ecu corrosion

After fitting my Mugen intake this problem stopped. ... UNTIL. I rest the ECU and now it's started doing it again. Worse than ever before.

I'm going to try another ECU reset before setting off for France. Can't make it any worse.

I just don't see how hot air intake could cause this, only when the engine is a bit cold. I understand it causing Kangarooing, but not nearly stalling when the rev's drop and only when the engine is semi-warm
