I paid £7500 for my almost mint condition MY05 with about 55k miles. I like many others, drove a couple of hours just to view it. If I were you, I'd look further afield for a broader selection.

I'd also say that car is overpriced but that's down to it being from a dealer. The mileage is low but looking at that bolster, I wouldn't be too sure whether the previous owner(s) looked after it too well.

Have to say it is easy to get fixated on one particular car, I went to view a MCB and all I could think about was getting it, it didn't work out and it all fell into place with what I have now after looking at several! Be patient, it pays off trust me!

I wouldn't buy a rusted car for that kind of money.... If you need to travel to get a good one, you should. I drove 4 hrs to go and look at mine and on the day of collection, I took a train down there and the then owner picked me up from the station in his Jazz and not the S2000 (what a gent he was, he even took a guy who was partially sighted, who he never met to the town also with us before we drove to his home for me to pick up the S2000).

Guess that makes me crazy then!!!

I paid 7k for my 2002 38,000 mile car, (to make it worse it's a JDM import), there again perhaps not I think it depends on your long term aim. At the moment mileage may not be an issue but, give it 10 years and that low mileage, low owner S2000 you paid a lot for may seem a bargain.

OK they are no Ferrari but who would have thought that a GTO bought for £36,000 in 1977 would now be worth around £20 million. Or on a more humble note, a 1978 Ford RS2000 bought for £3250 in 1981 would now be worth around £12 000. (wish I still had it )

These cars will go up in price at some point, probably just after I've sold mine for peanuts.

Regards

Nick

That's very expensive

I got my 04 with 35k on the clock for £6700, private

Pocket the £1200 you'll save and buy an extended honda years warranty for what, £180 was it?

cheers for the advice guys.... just a small update dealer is now offering 7.5k as i thought he would!

i guess my ideal requirements are 04 facelift, up to 70k mileage, black, or the grey/silver colour for a max of around 8k. Oh and ideally the hardtop too! (i dont want much do I! )

I have seen an o2 with 73k for 6k on ebay which i may take a look at too! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1410701174...84.m1423.l2649

Don't forget Pistonheads!! I was looking on Ebay and Autotrader and after going to see a MY03 Orange dog of an S2k they then decided to tell me, having driven to the other side of London, they didn't have the log book for it but didn't say anything before! Came back fuming and checked out Pistonheads on the off chance and saw the ad for the one now sitting on my drive - must have been meant to be!!!!
