Serious buyers only please

Kev, are you?

Yip, I know about the button on the dash to switch MPH / KPH but this does not function on the JDM's. Believe me, it hurt watching them dismantle the flippin dashboard just to solder one wire.
Servicing is fine, any Honda dealer
There really is nothing to be frightened of.
I saved a huge amount of money and have a stunning thoroughbred !

Motorpoint have had 2 S2000's in recently (They both came off the transporter last Thursday at 4pm). I was there waiting for them as they called me as soon as they arrived - The Monte Carlo Blue (with Blue interior) was already sold and I put a deposit on the Silverstone (With Black Interior) on the spot. It is still listed on their website for some reason though!
They do have another 5 for

At the risk of upsetting the importers, the BIG difference is that imports are never worth as much as UK cars.
IF a buyer discovers you are selling an import, they will know you did not pay the UK price. It follows that you do not get the secondhand UK value.
Some people get upset about this, claiming "punishment" by the dealers etc. Seems perfectly fair to me. It's called market forces and no-one is forcing you to sell.
When supplies are limited, you might get away with asking the same price as a UK car, but not now, when there are lots of cars to choose from.
Can't speak for anyone but myself. If you offer me a UK car and say, a French, import, price and condition identical, I'll, take the UK car every time. Or I want a big discount on the French car, to reflect the saving you made when you bought it.

I have been told that the warranty is 3 year / 90000 mile! I am not sure about the breakdown assistance, but I get full AA membership as a freeby with my bank account anyway, so I am not too concerned about that.
I have looked around the car, and there were a set of locking wheel nuts in the boot (and floor mats), so I am expecting to get them (even if they are not fitted) .
The information about registering with Honda UK would be most appreciated, I had to go through all of this with my old TT, and it was pretty painless - hopefully Honda will be the same!
I am also off work at the moment, so I might take you up on your offer next week, I'll just have to see how things go!
Yes - it is a 2002 model - the rear screen was the first thing I checked on it!
I am not waiting till September because I go away on holiday on the 1st of Sept for 3 weeks - I thought I should get some use out of it before then!!!!! I realise that this will make it worth a "little" less when it comes to resale, but it shouldn't be by much (it will be private plated anyway!)
Now if only motorpoint would pull their finger out and get it registered!!!!!

here's a link about registering the car, link it contains my interesting experience and info on the bits of paper you need to take along. Once your car is registered you'll be able to get any warranty work done in future if needed. It's pretty painless if you talk to the right person i.e. the Service Manager not the Sales people.
My car is at Lookers Honda Nottingham at the moment having its soft top latches adjusted, took the hardtop off last night for the first time, closed the soft top and the latches were too far away to close without breaking something
can't believe the monkeys didn't check this when they fitted the hardtop last week
where's that dealer list....need to adjust the score I gave them
yeah see how things go next week, just send me a PM if you're going to be around.
make sure all those relatives you let sit in it pick their feet up and don't drag them over the door sill
and some cars have seats that have been put further back on the rails than others, so its possible to scratch the back of the headrests when someone tall moves the seat back.
You could do a search on Muz mats from Australia while your waiting for Motorpoint to register the car, they cover the cross member "hump" that normal mats probably won't. There's some pictures on here somewhere. IIRC members here get a discount, search for 9000RPM
all the best

This is probably an "RTFM" question, but the manual is at home, not here at the office.
I was just wondering.... what do you do if the hood is down and the hood electrics/mechansim fails
Is there some sort of hand operated method (as with sunroofs)?
