depending on your company you may not be covered for mods (as pointed out to me on another post). You pay a premium for the declaration, but they won't cover you for them. I ended up removing my wheels from my S2000 and replaced them with the OEM 16" ones at the salvage yard because admiral didn't cover their value. they look at a pristine, standard version of whatever you have written off.

I managed to haggle Admiral up £900 from their initial offer so always demand more!

If I remember rightly you have a private plate? Check about removing it as I'm sure someone else had a problem getting the cash till original plates were on.

We were looking for a second car as a cheap runabout so we've gone for a Skoda Fabia vRS

I'll leave it a while before buying another S or something a bit less compromising (I was looking at the VX220/exige prior to the crash)

I'm going to speak to the brokers tomorrow about retaining the plates.
