Default S2000 virgin

Hi,

I'm looking into buying a jap import S2000 99' (its already oin the uk). I've found one with a V5, tax and MOT. Its got a rear fog light and Potenzas on the rear wheels.

Am i correct in thinking that this means its passed the SVA tests and its completely legal/legit? I dont think the seller has imported it through a company.

The speedo still reads in kmph and has no service manual or books (i know it'll be in japanese).

What do you people think?

thanks in advance

andy

I'd say how much?

A lot of cheap S2000s around at the moment and you may not be forced down the import route.

If it's got a V5, it's been SVA'd and is ready to go.

Reading in Km/h is pretty crap though (and it'll be restricted). And don't assume it's normal not to get any Japanese history: I have the service book for mine.

Still if it's cheap as chips...

Not if its a jap import. The dash is wired slightly differently.

Dash reading in KM is dodgy to me. It should have been converted to MPH for an SVA or even if it came through the old MOT route it should read in MPH.

Its too cheap as well. Sounds like one to walk away from.
