s2k bullet proof engine.... what boll@%
After driving gently (so many speed cameras about near my home now to bother doing anything but) my engine started knocking, then misfiring then the warning light came on then the AA took 10 hours to turn up then BD engineering tells me I need to take it to a Honda dealer as he does not have torque settings etc to do the job. He was unable to free the 2nd pot HT coil that seems fused in its tube somehow. He reckons that from compression tests carried out it is likely to be valve or piston related,
I'm not a happy bunny.
Honda Parkwood are compiling worst case scenario prices for me at the moment.
Anyone out ther have any advice as to where other engine options could be sourced at all?
Also any other options (non honda dealers) that could take on the task?
The car had been running well, and in no time at all deteriorated into no longer even running.
I would be less upset had I been caning it at the time and therefore having loads of fun, but I was being fairly grandad like at the time
damn damn damn
Worst part is being without my car during this weather.

It's actually a kit car
I'm converting an S to look like a classic Nissan Bluebird, just like that TT/Mini Metro mock up a few months ago!
Only joking, decided to take up minicabbing to pay for my S

Bert,
I recently had an incident of the ligt malfunction light coming on, tooke it to the dealers, first they said it was a misfire, then said there was low compression and had to take the head off. Upon taking the head off one of the exhaust valves was bent.
Honda still have the car over two weeks since I first took it in, the head and all the valves are being replaced.

I am almost certainly going to extend my warranty as my mileage is so low if there is any inherent problem somewhere it may not have show up within the 3 year warranty period
