Ive read about and have gotten the follwing info

speakers are 6.5" and theres not much depth to fit.

so i found these

these sutiable? my plan is to amp these up along with a 10" punch sub in the boot.

I know its quite chav to have a sub in the boot, but i miss the base from stock.

 

regarding the depth you can buy or make spacers and get rid of the stock baskets

IIRC the mounting depth is 58mm
I used some 10mm spacer from autoleads

 

So with these spaces i can get normal speakers without the worry of the depth?

What speakers in that case would you recommend. ive read various posts and i can never make a decision without an outright answer, doh!

I dont want top of the range amazing, as im not going to be putting them up to loud, i just want good quality sounding speakers, that i can amp and hear when the roof is down.

 

I had 5 1/2 MB Quartz fitted in the doors and I am very pleased with the bass from them, i would try better door speakers first then decide if you need the sub

 

All my door speakers have been 6.5"

 

They could be 6.5 my memory is not so good but the are deff MB quartz
