Default Same old tyre problem resurfaces!

just as we thought we had gotten away from the old problem of incorrectly supplied tyres it is all happening again!

just as people seemed unable to correctly identify the correct bridgestone SO2 and kept fitting the porche variety, it seems the same will continue to happen again with the new MY04 tyres.

these are bridgestone potenza RE050s instead of potenza SO2s but again there are several models of this tyre.

as you will see from the FAQ, the correct model for the S2000 is the............ K0250 E050MZ 245/40R17 91W on the rears

unfortunately there is also a similar RE050 model T0050 E050BZ 245/40R17 91Y which is what hyndland fitted to my car today

luckily I noticed!

It is considerably different to the correct model in tread pattern and contact surface (much like the 2 types of SO2). with the BZ model having HUGE spaces between the treads and smaller size contact patches as can be seen in the photos below.

enjoy and beware! make sure you check!

What is it with Honda dealers. They must advertise jobs with "Only Thickos need apply".

One of these days, one of us is going to get killed due to wrong tyres being fitted by these cowboys.

forget the other numbers they vary and are internal to Bridgestone

just make sure you get RE050 E050MZ's

If you got the wrong tyres from a Honda Dealer then shame on them, if from a high street tyre dealer then an easy mistake the amount of specific tyres for cars they have to remember, although that's their job i suppose.....

pays to check yourself anyway

and I get to play about on soon to be replaced tyres for a few days

they are weird too, they squeek and lose traction where the MZs certainly did not!
