I replaced my head unit with an Alpine INAN-033R a few months back.

There is no speed pulse wire on the standard radio loom, but there is one under the passenger side dash.

I phoned Alpine Tech Support and they were able to tell me exactly where to find the wire.

My 04 S2000 has put the fun back into motoring for me but I'd like to add SAT NAV. As the car is only 2 months old I'm reluctant to start ripping the existing head unit out and start meesing around under the dash. Is the there anywhere around Oxford that someone can recommend that can fit a unit for me??

Thanks in advance

Have you considered a PDA based solution? That would only involve a mount being fitted, and not your dash being ripped apart.

ive got an 04 and just put Alpine Sat nav in (INA-333R) connected to the speed pulse wire
(took less than 5 mins) speed pulse wire also allows you to use Alpines auto volume feature so it bumps up the volume the faster you go

feel free to pm me for more details

all in all with the alpine HU and the Alpine connector for the remote radio controls it took less than an hour....

Thanks for the feedback and info. I've actually got a PDA and unused Tom Tom system but having wires etc all over the place puts me off.....

-Matt, I've sent you a PM.
