Question SECURITY WARNING AutoAccessoryStore.com

Hi,
Having ordered my wheels powder coated, have new brake lines, new front discs, new rear pads, new rear discs I thought it would be a good time to have the callipers painted.

So I followed Rahula and he suggested the best stuff is G2 available from www.autoaccessorystore.com (no reflection on Rahula intended).

I found they do Black and ordered the kit from them.

I paid by Pay Pal and have confirmation email from PayPal that the payment has been made. My PayPal account shows the funds have been taken for the order.

All OK so far, but this morning I received an email from AutoAccessoryStore.com [support@autoaccessorystore.com] telling me the following...

I would reverse the transaction in Paypal (can you do that?) and cancel the order, that's ridiculous.

You can do a chargeback from your CC company.

If you get AutoAccessoryStore to refund via paypal you will be out of pocket by the cost of the paypal fees.

It was funded by PayPal Funds, thinking of raising a dispute, but there isn't one yet.

You don't loose out on charges via a refund you get the whole amount back, or should, when I do a refund when people pay the wrong amount the transaction is reversed.

I've not cancelled as they will (according to the email) if I don't supply what they ask, which I'm not.

I have emailed them to ask why if it was a Pay Pal payment would they need the other details and that it smells like a scam.

I look forward to their reply, if any?

Allan, I'm sure I sourced my G2 paint from within the UK Did you not have any success tracking it down? It may not be labelled as G2 over here (my memory is poor).

I've had PayPal refunds - it goes direct (back) to the account or CC you made the payment from. No hassle at all and no fees.

Agree with others, I cant see any reason why they need additional info from you. I wouldn't fax a photocopy of my CC to them. Sounds very dodgy indeed.
