Guy answered my enquiry today, he needs rid of the car so selling cheap, absolutely outstanding condition, tempted to ask if I can go down to view with an interest to purchase.

Blimey, that be a bargain. Still seems fishy though as the advert has been up for 3 weeks. Surely it would have been snapped up immediately.

Scammers use a filtering technique. If you aren't switched-on enough to see the first bit of BS (here, the ridiculously low price), then you're the low-hanging fruit that will likely follow the scam through to its conclusion. They want people who believe.
This is well-established technique, if a "bank" emails you with some spelling mistakes, you not noticing those mistakes and responding to the email's alleged purpose milks you out as easy prey.
I also remember the red scam S2000 that was doing the rounds, it resurfaced a few times I think!

Well surprise, surprise, seller is away on business, he couldn’t furnish me with service/mot records or even the reg no, didn’t expect anything else and I have been in touch with the magazine to report the ad, they have promised to try and prevent this in the future but I won’t hold my breath, might keep the seller going though.
