Question Alarm Fob Advice Please

My S2000 is a 2009 registered car (looking at the VIN plate though I think it is actually MY08). When I bought the car it came with two keys but only one alarm fob, so I’m looking to buy a spare.

Please can someone let me know which fob I have, is this the standard Hamilton and Palmer 3-button fob? (no panic button, which I think was US only)

Looking ahead, can I buy any second hand similar G8D fob from eBay (Honda Jazz, CRV etc) and code it to the alarm using the Honda instructions in the FAQs, or do I need a specific S2000 fob? (The part number on mine is G8D 345HA)

Any advice or insight gratefully received, thank you.

H & P Alarms were not on the MY08 cars, and had a 2 button fob, so that's moot.

Not sure about programming fobs, maybe there's something in the Owners' Manual?

With the number of generic or clone remotes that work I'm guessing any with that part number and frequency can be programmed -- instructions are in the owner's manual.

Google your part number ( G8D 345HA ) and compare frequencies. Your remote has a frequency of 433.9MHz which is critical. I've seen Civic, Fit, and Accord remotes listed for sale but their frequency is 434.2MHz which won't work.

North American remotes (at least mine) are G8D 452H-A and have the Panic button. Don't know the frequency.

That's the same fob as I have on my MY56 car, it's the alarm system fitted by Honda UK, fobs are easy enough to get and program the keys are the expensive bugger!
