Like some others, I used to own a TVR, specifically a very well sorted Griff 500. I've also spent some time in a Sagaris and I can't necessarily add much more than has already been said.
You've obviously done your research and I agree with pretty much everything you've come across. Although saying that, one point I would contest is that I don't think point to point a Tamora/T350 is any faster than a 5ltr Griff or Chimaera.
Sure, they've got extra power as most Griff/Chim 500's only read about 260bhp on a rolling road, but the torque to weight of these cars is incredible. My old car was insanely fast in a straight line and when I had it on the rollers had over 350lb ft torque in a car that weighs a little over a ton. I'd never say the power delivery was sophisticated though and in that respect I prefer the S many times over, but it was a absolute riot to drive and good as the S is it will never ever give the same thrills. For a step up in performance, a Griff 500 would absolutely destroy an S2000!
As for the Tamora, it is just a convertible T350 which for me looks much nicer. The Sagaris interior is the same as both of those and is a very nice place to be. The engine needs a lot more revs but hey that's no bad thing. At the top end they are very, very fast.
Lastly, regarding owning a TVR I agree that it's something anyone who likes cars should try. BUT, as has already been said it can be a testing relationship. After 3 years I sold mine as I did get a bit fed up of every time the slightest thing went wrong, it was hundreds to sort out. Even a minor service was getting on for a grand and Griffith's are one of the cheap ones to run! I don't regret selling it, but I'd have certainly regretted never having owned one.
Mine was looked after by a well known specialist in crawley, who after using them many times I was glad I didn't have to part with any more of my hard earned. I wasn't impressed by them.
