Default service cost and oils

got my 45,000 / 60 mth service coming up (car only done 32k)

i want to do all my fluids so ordered from opie oils:

5 ltrs of Silkolene pro s 5W-40 ester synthetic oil

amsoiol synthetic MTF

Silkolene silktrans syn 5 75w-90 fully synthetic gear oil

total

You might need slightly over 5 litres of oil. I did yesterday when i changed the oil in mine.

Lat time I supplied my own oil it was nearer 5.5

If you order a service kit from Opie, they send you 6 litres. Enough for the change and a few top ups.

Can you mix brands as long as it's the same designation eg 5W40?

Come on Mike - stop quoting the manual as if it's gospel!

If you read further into how much oil the S takes, it's way over 5 litres.

Everytime I change, I use 5.3-5.5 litres.

Personally, I wouldn't mix brands, but you can.

Definite no-no is mixing Synthetic, with semi-synthetic etc
