Well its called something like that. Has anyone bought this from their Honda dealer? What does it cost? did you have to order it or did they stock it?
Manual recomends applying this to the roof seals every six months as Im now at 6 months I think its time I got some.
Cheers

Rubber seal treatments
Jason,
Shin Etsu has been used by quite a few guys. I have gone for Zymol's "Seal" instead. i find it leaves the rubber very supple but without the residue that sticks to windows etc.
My 2p worth on this is that Silicon based products are normally pretty nasty stuff (with the possible exception of certain implants )

I have used this stuff, and it is indeed nasty stuff. It remains moist and sticky (careful!!) for a jolly long time, causing all manner of dust and fluff to accumulate on the seals. But it does keep them nice and pliable.

Bear in mind the recomendation for the application of the grease is a sweeping world wide statment, it is important to the countries where there is quite a large heat / cold climate differential as the main reason for the grease is to stop them from drying out by keeping them supple.
Over here its not that important, I'm not saying dont do it, but its not that pressing.
If and when you do get around to "doing" it, dont throw your money away on special products just use "vasaline" works just as well.
If its good enough for Porsche and Ferrari garages to use its good enough for Honda.
(more marketing bumph for so called specialist products)

Isn't Vaseline based on petroleum jelly? I thought that did unpleasant things to rubber (or am I thinking of Vaseline's other lubricating properties ).
Having said that I'm not going to go against Nigel/Porsche and Ferrari - they all know their onions

Officially no, unofficially yes! on the Targa seals on both vehicles,
you don't blather it on just enough to give the seals a very slight sheen, (feels ever so sensual doing it ).
A good few years ago when glass pop in sunroofs were all the rage, a lot of the cheaper end of the market had poor seals and were constantly dripping water on your lap or head, the way the SR company fitters sorted it was by useing vasaline.
I've used it for years on seals, no problem.
(if its good enough for babies bums it good enough for honda seals)
