I got crapped on from a great height in a thread some time ago for suggesting Vaseline for seals etc. It really is all you need. In the case of the S2000 pick a day when you can leave the top down a while and rub on the Vaseline, not to excess, just enough to bring up a shine. Leave the top down as long as possible so that the seals are not compressed. Wipe off any excess before raising the top/windows. A neighbour of mine has an MX5 that was letting water in through the roof quite heavily. After I put him onto the Vaseline trick he gets no leaks at all.

Cheers Tifosi, have just ordered online...I have a pathological hatred for vaseline..must be something to do with my childhood!
Addicted eh?!! Must be all that sensual rubbing between your hands before you apply it to your long red bonnet!1

I did the vaseline yesterday, left it overnight with the roof down. Im not totally convinced it was a good idea, it seems to have dried and hardened the rubber, before application it was quite supple but it now feels like it has a hardened coat on it. I expected the outcome to be that the rubber would become even more supple but thats not been the case.
I'll see what happens over the next week or so before deciding on whether to get the recomended stuff.

My seals are so supple after an application of the stuff.
Was it "pure" vaseline?
How old was it? although this should not make any differance.
How much did you put on? and how?
let me know.
